Day 39: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 25 min Low Intensity x 2

I’m not going to dwell on it, I worked from 8am to 8.30 pm today so gym was out! I walked to and from to get my cardio in and will push my back and biceps ession until tomorrow!

Short and sweet that is Day 39’s blog post, unlike the actual day!

Day 33: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 25 min Low Intensity x 2

Even though it’s Friday this project won’t do itself. And similar to yesterday It’s unlikely I will make it to the Gym. I had initially planned on Back & Biceps tonight but that will not happen. Between work, gym & home life it’s all about getting the balance right. You can’t neglect any one of these. I got home late from work but honestly probably did have enough time to make the gym if I really wanted to. However Continue reading

Day 32: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio: 25 min Low Intensity x 2

I am absolutely up the walls at work. Today is a non training day from a weights perspective but I still need to get my cardio in. I know from yesterday that I’m probably going to be working late again this evening so I need to plan ahead a little. I am tired but the pre planning will mean I get my cardio in despite not really having time to do it.

My commute to work usually takes Continue reading

Day 26 Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 22 min low intensity

Today was initially planned as a weights training day, Back & Biceps, however it simply did not turn out like that! It’s the Friday of the October bank-holiday weekend here in Ireland and I like most other young professionals was planning on getting out of the capital and travelling home for the weekend. Instead of my usual bus route to work I decided to walk to and from work which takes around 25 minutes each way. This means that when I get home I only need to close out my weights session…nicely planned FacelessFitGuy! 🙂 Continue reading

Day 24: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 42 min Medium Intensity

It’s Wednesday evening here at faceless fitness, and it’s a non training day from a weights perspective which means it’s cardio only. I trained legs on Monday so my DOM’s are well and truly kicking in. I know this will be a tough session. As it’s now week 4 we’ve also started to increment up our cardio sessions by 2-3 minutes per week which means this is going to be a 42 minute session!

Work is really really tough at the moment, I’m geniunely out of the house for 12 hours per day. 1 hour travel to work, 10 hours working and 1 hour to travel home. It’s important to get your meals in aand training no matter what your situation is. It’s mentally tough but stick to your routine. if you have to move a days weights training, that’s fine but get back on track as soon as possible and do your cardio everyday.  Continue reading

Day 20: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 40 mins Medium Intensity

It’s Saturday here at facelessfitness.com and this is a weights rest day. I’ve just come off the back of three straight days of heavy lifting and this is a well deserved (and well needed) rest day. However I do had a longer session of cardio to do today which I know will be tough because my legs are feeling the effects of the last couple of days.

If you’ve been following my Instagram @facelessfitguy you’ll know that I did not get much sleep last night, around 4 hours, which really sucks because I need sleep particularly at the weekends as my Monday to Friday is pretty hectic with work and training. I think I’m getting the flu, my girlfriend is currently out of work sick with it and their are a lot of germs floating around my apartment. She’s had it a couple of days but I’ve managed to keep it at bay…until now?!

I fell asleep around 12:30 am, but woke again at 2, coughing and sneezing and don’t talk to me about the DOMS from Continue reading

Day 15: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 40 Mins Medium Intensity

OK I’ve successfully come through the first two weeks and I’m kicking off week 3 of the faceless fitness programme with a medium intensity cardio session and a rest day from the weights training. Today is Monday and for many regular gym goers this represents ‘Chest and Triceps’ day, the fun session that people tend to gravitate to each and every Monday. However rest is essential to the faceless fitness programme and to achieve proper rest you need to take a rest day every third or fourth day without exception. Sometimes if required you can take two rest days back to back either if you get caught by an external factor (As I did this week), or you simply feel you need a second day of rest. During a 12 week programme I would never take more than two rest days at once and I would endeavour to follow this up with 3 weight training days in a row.

Day 12: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio -40 mins Medium Intensity

FacelessFitness Cardio

Today is a non weights training day but that does not mean it’s a free day, I still have a 40 minute medium level intensity cardio session to carry out to complete day 12 of my programme. In addition I’m going to take this opportunity to add some of the softer elements to my programme. Stretching is extremely important, firstly to prevent injuries but secondly to allow your muscles to grow. Try to set aside a couple of minutes each morning and evening to stretch all the main areas of your body, in addition you should always stretch adequately before, after and indeed during any of the FacelessFitness.com workouts. If you work in an office Continue reading

Day 6: Weights – Rest Day, Cardio – 40 Mins Low Intensity

The DOMS, The DOMS, my legs are in agony this morning, real pain from my Glutes, Hamstrings and Quads. The main issue is getting up and moving, other than that I’m just fine :/ Today is a non training day from a weights perspective but I’m still going to get in my 40 mins of cardio. Its very important to not skip the cardio on your non training days! Doing cardio every day, even at low intensity is central to the FacelessFitness programme.

I’ve put in a good Continue reading

Day 3: Cardio – 40 mins Medium intensity, Weights – Rest Day

The DOMS have arrived, woke up this morning clung to the bed! Chest and Triceps in agony all day. I love being back though. Luckily today is a non weights training day so just the 40 minutes cardio to get through this evening. After last nights interval training my legs are a bit tired, the aim of this workout is to get my heart rate up to a medium to high level (around 150bpm) continually for the 40 minutes. In doing this I don’t necessarily need to burn out my legs, and leg day is coming at me fast tomorrow. I choose to complete my Continue reading
